Here’s A New Way To Appreciate The Beauty Of Food In Its Purest Form
We know how much you like food. We also know how much you enjoy looking at photography and art that capture food”s delicious, delicious beauty. Yet Dutch design duo Lernert and Sander went above and beyond standard food photography to show us exactly what happens when all-natural food takes on a very unnatural shape.
These perfect cubes of food let the natural beauty of the items shine through.
See if you can tell what everything is!
Together, the team created 98 cubes of varying food items, each measuring 2.5 centimeters in all three dimensions. The sharp, geometrical shape makes the curving, natural forms of the foods” interiors seem to stand out more, and makes us consider them in a whole new way.
The project was created for Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant for a documentary photography feature that focused on food. The food you see here is all unprocessed, and includes meats, fish, fruits, and vegetables.
